Description

STE THERESA of AVILIA MEDAL: (born Teresa Sanchez Cepeda Davila y Ahumada 1515-1582) Virgin, Mystic, Foundress, Doctor of the Church. Established the Reform of the Discalced Carmelites. Patroness of Spain, Mothers, Head-ache sufferers. In 1622, forty years after her death, she was canonized a saint by Pope Gregory XV. The Cortes exalted her to patroness of Spain in 1627. Her FEAST DAY is October 15th.
